Translation of the Bible into the M.C4.81ori language New Zealand Church Missionary Society



by 1840 william williams had translated of new testament māori language. after 1844 robert maunsell worked william williams on translation of bible, maunsell working on translation of old testament, portions of published in 1840. in 1845 book of common prayer translated committee comprising william williams, robert maunsell, james hamlin , william puckey. full translation of bible māori language completed in 1857.
