central business office of osbi. has responsibility supporting director providing budgeting, procurement, human resources , other managerial services support entire bureau.

investigative services division

the primary duty of osbi investigative services division assist local law enforcement agencies in solving crimes. osbi agents offer number of services including collecting , preserving evidence @ crime scenes, participating in undercover investigations obtain information , evidence, interviewing witnesses , apprehending criminals. agents investigate many types of crime, including: homicides, rapes, assaults, white collar crime, public corruption, property crimes such burglaries, internet crimes against children, child abuse, auto theft , oil field theft. services include polygraph examinations, electronic surveillance, crime scene investigations, forensic art, judicial backgrounds, , local law enforcement training in areas of basic , advanced criminal investigations. specially trained crime scene agents located statewide, ready @ times conduct crime scene investigations collect , preserve evidence scenes investigate.

the osbi investigative services division home criminal intelligence unit provides investigative support division, home oklahoma state clearinghouse national center missing , exploited children.

the oklahoma state bureau of investigation partners local, state , federal law enforcement in state of oklahoma on many levels. osbi works law enforcement agencies across state share, collect, , offer computer , internet based programs permit efficient use of crime fighting programs.

within division crime data collection , analysis unit. before becoming consolidated osbi, unit existed independent office of criminal justice statistics. unit provides research , analysis relating state s criminal justice system , integrated, customizable records management software law enforcement in form of offender data information system (odis). unit serves state s statistical analysis center (sac), official point of contact united states department of justice s bureau of justice statistics. state s sac, unit member of justice research , statistics association.

since creation in 1953, osbi criminalistic services division has been responsible providing operating oklahoma forensic science center, provides forensic science laboratory services oklahoma s law enforcement agencies. criminalistic services division provides forensic analysis in following areas:
