in 1913, swedish state railways (statens järnvägar or sj) ordered eleven four-cylinder compound pacific type locomotives nydqvist & holm (nohab) stockholm-malmö heavy express train service. had 1,880 millimetres (74 inches) diameter coupled wheels 2 420 660 millimetres (17 26 inches) , 2 630 660 millimetres (25 26 inches) cylinders. designated sj class f, numbered 1200 1209 , 1271.
the locomotives limited maximum speed of 90 kilometres per hour (56 miles per hour). hauled express trains on southern mainline until electrification of stockholm-malmö line in 1933. sj tried them on gothenburg non-electrified section, not success on line due electrified. sold neighbouring danish state railways (dsb) in 1937.
after withdrawn service in denmark, dsb no. 964 (ex sj no. 1200) presented swedish railway museum @ gävle in 1964, while dsb no. 966 (ex sj no. 1202) presented sj ab danish railway museum in 1999, haul heritage trains.
