after returning usa, maha nayaka thera organised thurunu saviya @ maharagama organise , train youths of sri lanka. maha nayaka thera considered young generation in sri lanka should directed in correct lines. movement attracted many youths , resulted in society called samma ajeeva sangamaya in 1974. necessary counter increasing rate of drug addiction , alcoholism among youths of sri lanka. ven. maha nayaka thera played important role in rehabilitation of youths after 1971 insurrection.thurunu saviya has 10 groups train young. madihe pannaseeha thero wanted provide , develop society. thurunu saviya organization full provide leadership qualities , time management, economic management etc.

the dharma vijaya foundation established in 1979 under patronage of maha nayaka thera has noble objectives make sri lanka dharma deepa or country righteous people live, develop economy , culture of country simultaneously , serve poor in social needs , education.


temperance movement

he succeeded ven. kalukondayawe pangnasekera maha nayaka thera president of sri lanka temperance movement, carry out work commenced during part of 20th century.
