france has come under criticism treatment of roma. in summer of 2010, french authorities demolished @ least 51 illegal roma camps , began process of repatriating residents countries of origin. french government has been accused of perpetrating these actions pursue political agenda. in july 2013, jean-marie le pen, controversial far-right politician , founder of national front party, had lawsuit filed against him european roma , travellers forum, sos racisme , french union of travellers association after publicly called france s roma population smelly , rash-inducing , claiming comments violated french law on inciting racial hatred.
