from first marriage (1944–50), actress kay clayton, father of leo eaton (b. 1945), emmy-winning director , producer of documentary films. in 1956, eaton married corah hamilton, expatriate jamaican artist, whom had 1 son , 2 daughters; hamilton died in 1984. eaton grandson of author , journalist j. e. preston muddock.


he buried in muslim section of brookwood cemetery.
