the taff vale railway built line penarth in 1865, later extending lavernock, sully , cadoxton. penarth dock , harbour station opened in 1878. name changed penarth dock in 1928. station staffed , had 2 platforms substantial buildings, linked footbridge. despite this, quiet during day, , received revenue morning , evening rush hour trains. closed on sundays.
