best-in-festival award
in 2009, international association of machinists , aerospace workers (iamaw) canada donated money go towards cash prize movie judged best-in-festival. audiences in toronto voted on films (on basis of 1 10, film getting highest average judged winner) , selected tanaka-san not calisthenics.
in 2010, audiences across canada, @ various cliff location voted on films screened. although not saw films, winner 1 getting highest average.
student film award
2011 see establishment of student film award. organisers solicit films universities, community colleges, , high schools. there cash award. neither selection criteria nor judging process have been established.
