within boundaries of park, following number of species known live: 53 species of mammals, 272 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles , amphibians, 54 species of fish, 7000 species of insects, on 1000 species of plants, , on 1000 species of fungi. animals inhabit algonquin include moose, black bears, white-tailed deer, grey jays, red foxes, great grey owls, , timber wolves.
