wolf , lion met highly positive reception critics of show, , many regarded best episode yet. maureen ryan of aol tv gave 90 out of 100, noting exceptional work cast , excellent writing. both todd vanderwerff , david sims, a.v. club, rated episode a.


reviewers agreed after 4 episodes presenting setting , introducing main characters, story started move forward faster , raise stakes. david sims considered point @ of scheming , conversing , table-setting began lumber forward , gain real momentum. james poniewozik wrote time episode began let swords talking, , while there significant scenes of talk, dialogue went beyond westeros history 101 take story in interesting directions. ign s matt fowler wrote best episode of series far though fan-favorite characters jon snow , daenerys targaryen did not appear.
