when tunisian railways dieselised between 1951 , 1955, these locomotives withdrawn service , placed in staging, though late in 1952 still regularly achieved speeds of 110 kilometres per hour (68 miles per hour). in 1958, numbers 231.801, 231.805, 231.807 , 231.808 sold ferrocarril la robla in spain. remained in tunisia scrapped in 1959.
