3 august: north korea fires ballistic missile south hwanghae province in west of country sea of japan.
august 11: egypt customs seizes more 30,000 rocket-propelled grenades of north korean production, off ship.

egypt customs seized cargo of ship jie shun, on arrival @ ain sukhna port, red sea, on aug 11, after egyptian authorities alerted intelligence on possible shipment of north korean arms on board of ship. arms hidden under bins of iron ore.
