the ebenezer baptist church dates november 1875 when foundation stone laid tabernacle chapel in skinner street. first pastor, rev. j. d. jones, called in february 1876 , new building opened in july year. church served number of ministers until 1911 when rev. r. j. willoughby came church. church has organ harrison & harrison.
