plot
main route

six years after events of chaos;head, city of shibuya has been rebuilt , survivors have continued lives. however, new series of odd killings begin occur on same days of new generation murders, , done in odd ways, leading people begin calling them new new generation murders. takuru takes personal interest in murders , begins investigating them of fellow club members, nono s dismay. mio , shinjou investigating murders on behalf of police , mio s own motives. eventually, takuru follows set of clues love hotel encounters hinae, fellow student @ school @ scene of killing. hinae afterwards reluctantly agrees assist takuru , mio in investigations.

after more killings, takuru learns connected presence of sumo stickers @ crime scenes, , receives tip investigate basement of ah tokyo general hospital creator of sumo stickers allegedly being kept. takuru, serika, , itou sneak hospital, both takuru , serika have flashbacks of girl being experimented on. meet mio, reveals there secret facility under hospital created committee study gigalomaniacs, individuals possessing power create delusions. breaks facility s computer network , reveals committee created sumo stickers , responsible experimenting on senri, girl takuru , serika had seen in past. mio kidnaps test subject, uki, , group makes escape. afterwards, mio further explains takuru gigalomaniac himself, , hinae manifests di-sword , demonstrates ability detect lies prove him. takuru surmises of victims in new new generation murders gigalomaniacs.

later, takuru , hinae attacked pyrokinetic gigalomaniac whom suspect killer. nono reveals them childhood friends senri , aware of experiments being performed on her, , decides in investigation well. working together, takuru , friends manage avoid becoming victims in subsequent new new generation murders, until pyrokinetic herself found dead. lets guard down, believing murders on until itou murders takuru , nono s adopted younger sister, yui. itou claims revenge leaving senri die, nono concludes itou being mind controlled. itou collapses strain of mind control.

some time after yui s murder, takuru follows nono roof of school, finds nono , serika battling each other di-swords. takuru attempts intervene, nono killed serika, leaves scene. takuru implicated in nono s death , becomes prime suspect new new generation murders, decides hide out mio. serika arrives , reveals in fact delusion created takuru during earthquake when powers manifested, sole purpose being protect him. reveals takuru , nono s adoptive father, sakuma, in fact responsible new new generation murders , committee member seeking exterminate remaining gigalomaniacs. pleads takuru , friends flee shibuya before leaving. hinae warns takuru serika not being entirely truthful desire protect him, decides confront again find out sure.

in aftermath, takuru s surviving friends go daily lives. takuru himself taken police custody , serika has gone missing. takuru reported have died while in police custody, while serika asks him if able wanted do.

nono route

this route triggers if takuru able intervene in nono , serika s duel , saves nono s life. upset takuru saved nono, serika leaves. takuru asks nono power , replies power similar hinae s lie detection. sakuma ends becoming next new new generation murder victim. takuru, nono, , friends attempt continue normal life afterwards, until serika appears again , reveals nono in fact senri. real nono died in shibyua earthquake, , senri desperately wanted nono gained power of transformation, taking on nono s appearance , identity. takuru becomes angry @ senri lying him , forces away. however, comes regret outburst after realizing despite taking on nono s appearance, senri s love him still real. takuru subsequently loses live , serika arrives kill him , fulfill desire. senri intervenes , takuru s desire changes being senri. seeing no longer has purpose, serika kills herself. afterwards, senri takes on original identity , lives happily takuru go visit real nono s grave.

hana route

this route triggers if takuru decides flee school evade haida. there, runs hana, uses powers summon portal device favorite game ensue 2 , defeats haida. takuru takes shelter hana @ home, explains has ability make words speaks reality. however, doesn t have full control on ability, voluntarily stays mute keep herself accidentally harming others. learn numerous other portal devices appearing around shibuya creating monsters ensue 2. 1 of hana s gaming friends warns them committee, , 1 of teachers, wakui, member. wakui captures nono , holds hostage force hana , takuru meet him, intending capture hana own ends. hana able summon giant , commands attack wakui, killing him.

hinae route

this route triggers if takuru gets separated hinae when attacked haida. manage reunite , hide in takuru s home. haida arrested shortly after, , takuru , hinae continue life normal. through combination of flashbacks , information nono, revealed hinae s brother died in shibuya earthquake, , dying words admitted adopted. wanting find out truth, hinae gained power detect lies. in present, more mysterious murders begin occur , attempts push hinae in front of moving car. takuru discovers corpse of hinae s father , hinae begins suspect brother killer. takuru begins investigate , discovers murderer in fact hinae s mother. when hinae attempts confront mother, can tell saying lie. attempts stab hinae, takuru uses himself shield , stabbed instead. hinae s mother escapes leaving hinae tend takuru. takuru dies wounds, hinae creates delusion herself living happily him.

uki route

this route triggers if uki arrives @ yui s murder scene, tries attack itou di-sword. takuru attempts stop , hit instead, falling unconscious. when wakes up, finds out murders have stopped , yui somehow still alive. seems going him, such becoming commentator on popular internet show , being asked out yume, popular girl in school. however, keeps receiving constant delusions of serika , nono trying contact him, , uki appearing di-sword. serika , nono warn him trapped in delusion created uki, , real body die if doesn t escape. uki arrives , pleads him stay in delusion, can happy. second uki arrives , defeats first one, explaining in fact real uki , other delusional version of her. urges takuru escape delusional world collapses, , wakes in real world. however, uki remains comatose own mind still trapped in delusion. takuru resolves take care of her.

chaos child/silent sky route (true ending)

in continuation of main route unlocked after alternate routes completed, serika wakes in bed after having strange dream, , has no memories of takuru or of game s previous events. goes shibuya meet friends , experiences strong sense of deja vu when sees old school. there, meets mio, tells students @ school suffering chaos child syndrome, condition manifested when became gigalomaniacs during shibuya earthquake. however, of people afflicted chaos child syndrome have trapped in collective delusion separating them real world, , mio seeks find way cure it. mio introduces serika takuru, chaos child managed break free delusion. head school infiltrate secret lab hidden there. takuru uses lab equipment scan own brain, creating cure chaos child syndrome. confronted wakui. allows takuru spread cure, since interested in potential data , achieves goal eliminate gigalomaniacs. afterwards, serika parts ways mio , takuru , goes see play, apparently begins remember previous life takuru s friend.

in final epilogue, senri, hinae, hana, , uki shown have been cured of chaos child syndrome , living happy lives. takuru taken away police put in isolation due role in new new generation murders. while being escorted out of hospital, unexpectedly comes across serika again. when serika asked friend if knows takuru, serika claims not. takuru silently agrees no longer knows serika either.
