clementina born in may 1782, elder daughter of patrick stirling of pittendriech, wife amelia graham of duntrune, forfarshire. mother succeeded small estate of duntrune, near dundee, on death of brother alexander in 1802, , husband , herself assumed surname of graham. mrs. graham 1 of 4 daughters of alexander graham of duntrune (d. 1782), ancestors william , james, both active jacobites, in 1715 , 1745 respectively assumed title of viscount dundee, nearest representatives of kinsman john graham of claverhouse, viscount dundee.


her own opinions whigs, member of social circle of edinburgh whigs, of whom francis jeffrey , lord cockburn leaders.


she lived @ duntrune house @ wellbank in dundee.


she died 23 august 1877. buried in stirling graham family plot in howff graveyard in central dundee.
